The provocative pop sensation, fresh from the undeniable brilliance of 'Boom Clap' and 'Fancy', has just released the audio for 'London Queen'. Produced by Justin Raisen, she describes the track's sound as "future Ramones". Accompanied by driving guitars it shows XCX discussing the strangeness of moving to America, her ambition to fill her house full of gold plaques and, in a more macabre fashion, feeling like JFK when she's driving.
Listen to London Queen by Charli XCX below.
Earlier this month XCX, announced that her album ‘Sucker’ would not be released on 21st October as planned but would be delayed until 26th January in the U.K./Europe and 16th December in the U.S.
This came about due to the surprise success of her solo single “Boom Clap.” XCX spoke of the delay on Twitter and revealed:
it's all COOL nothing's WRONG the albums DONE but it's just no one really knew boom clap would do as well as it's doing....
— CHARLI XCX (@charli_xcx) September 22, 2014
I'm overwhelmed by the love for boom clap & the support from all u angels, I need to put the date back so I can launch the album properly...

Speaking to Newsweek, the acclaimed producer came out in praise of West's work, but expressed confusion about why he wasn't asked to work on the album.
The producer, real name Steven Ellison told the publication: "I should have been on it... It was kind of weird that I wasn’t. Just being totally real, not on some ego shit... I was like, 'They didn’t even call!'"
After saying it was his favourite record from West's discography, Ellison then went onto explain he's been trying to collaborate with Kanye on his own material as well: "I’ve been trying, man!.. I feel like, at this point, it’s been expressed enough. He knows where I’m at."
Yeezus wasn't the only album FlyLo felt he missed out on. "There's a few things that came out that I really wish I was on." Ellison explained. "I wish I was on the Earl [Sweatshirt] album, the Doris album."

Founded by radio producer Paul Noble and restaurateurs Patrick Calyton Malone and Dominic Lake, Spiritland is the kind of place where you can settle in and enjoy some truly exceptional albums, playing on vinyl over a stunning Tannoy sound system, while sipping a 'Go Hartnett Or Go Home' cocktail.
Imagine an album playback but with stronger drinks, better food and without the awkward note-taking and you'll get the idea.
Some of the confirmed guests that Gigwise are looking to check out are music historian/DJ Bill Brewster, Mojo's Pete Paphides, Ace Records' Dean Rudland, Hot Chip's Alexis Taylor and the brilliant Fred Deakin from Lemon Jelly.
More esoteric events will also take place with a night dedicated to electronic soundtracks, one to the music of Lou Reed, Simon Price playing the music of Prince, Twitter favourite Rhodri Marsden's celebration of Prefab Sprout and author Andrew Mueller's collection of highly emotional country.
Perhaps most intriguing of all there will be a session dedicated to Marxist historian Eric Hobsbawm’s extensive jazz collection, loaned to Spiritland by his family.
Spiritland will open as a permanent restaurant, bar and members club in its own right in 2015. In the meantime, we'll see you at Merchant's Tavern - we'll be the ones at the bar eating the deep fried oysters discussing the merits of 'When Love Breaks Down'
Spirtland takes place at Merchant's Tavern, 36 Charlotte Road London EC2A. For more information see spiritland.club

As reported by Consequence Of Sound, the xx's label Young Turks has complained that the track accompanying the new visuals for their eyewear is a poorly constructed ripofff of the band's signature 'Intro'.
Naturally, when you first hear of such things you expect the soundalike to perhaps nod to the original but sadly for Hugo Boss it appears that whoever provided the audio accompaniment for this ad appears to have ripped off The xx's original almost beat for beat.
It resembles nothing more than the instrumentals that used to soundtrack shopping at Clinton Cards or anemic soundalikes that only exist when an artist isn't on Spotify.
Young Turks are unsuprisingly unhappy about this situation, tweeting:
. @HUGOBOSS as a firm built around original design, isn't it odd that you'd pay for such a poorly disguised fake? https://t.co/2sdUYfU6OF …

This summer The xx revealed that their third album sounds 'completely different' to previous efforts and will be recorded in Iceland.
Their label XL's in-house producer Rodaidh McDonald has told Dazed Magazine that the Mercury-winners third LP has a “completely different concept” their previous two.
"We’re doing it in Texas and Iceland, and maybe France," he said. "So that’s kind of starting in the middle of July, I’ve already spent a bit of time with them in Texas.
"There are songs which have come out of our experiences in New York and Texas that would never have come out in London; the colours and the ideas and the moods on some of these songs are just not things you would write in London. It’s about opening things up a bit more.
He added: "They are a London band, but they’re also a band that’s spent a lot of time in different countries. So we’re trying to push that further with the Iceland trip, which is happening in July."
Last year, the band spoke to NME about their third album, saying: "We don't find it easy as a band to write on tour, so we haven't got much done yet with new songs, because we've been touring Coexist so much. We're looking forward to having time off to be creative again."
The band's self-titled debut album was released in 2010, and was awarded the Mercury Prize. Their second album, Coexist, was released in 2012.

The band were inspired by a deep rooted love of rock'n'roll and it's aesthetic, notably Tawny Kitaen the model who featured in Whitesnake's videos. Dunn describes her as “the most-beautiful, powerful woman in the world. But I also realised the portrayal of women was problematic and there was a power dynamic at play”.
Dunn manages the delicate task of appreciating a band's songs but despising their believes, exemplfiied by Axl Rose who she describes as “a misogynist asshole, although he looked beautiful and feminine”.
The band make their debut UK performance this week at the Bournemouth Arts By The Sea Festival on 9 October and their first ever London show at the Dreamland Social Club at the Alley Cat on 11 October.

This may make things complicated for a number of players, such as San Francisco 49ers Colin Kaepernick and Seattle Seahawks Richard Sherman as both have appeared in Beats By Dre commercials.

Interestingly at the moment the Premier League doesn't have an official commercial technology partner but it would be intriguing to see if something similar could happen in the UK - when the sums of money involved, we wouldn't bet against something happening on this side of the Atlantic by next season.

"On Saturday December 13th, I will be hosting a very special one off show in the beautiful intimate surroundings of St John Church of Hackney in London," said Calvi in a statement.
"The Heritage Orchestra - who I had the pleasure of working with for the Giorgio Moroder show at the Sydney Opera House - will be providing a string section and an all female choir, and I will be inviting past, present, and future collaborators on the night to join me as special guests on stage.
"We will be performing new orchestra versions of my album songs, some album songs that have never ever been performed live, new covers, and hopefully some new original material!"

Discussing his difference in writing style between projects, Reznor explained: "With Nine Inch Nails I realize that a lot of times my strategy of writing a pop song isn’t to start with a hook and mechanically try to make this product that’s catchy."
"It’s more that I start with a feeling or sometimes a visual, and then I try to dress that visual with sound, and a song comes out the other end. That’s probably why my songs aren’t that catchy."

In the past Reznor has scored films such as The Social Network and Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Gone Girl is out now in UK cinemas.

However, that hasn't stopped the speculation. Fleetwood Mac are currently bookies' favourites to headline, with AC/DC and Muse also hotly-tipped. However, an interesting development over the weekend saw odds on Queen headlining cut from 20/1 to 14/1.
"There are some massive names in the frame but the money suggests Fleetwood Mac are the most likely, although today’s gamble has been for Queen," said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
Glastonbury 2015 takes place from Wednesday 24 to Sunday 28 June, with other rumoured acts including Foo Fighters, Depeche Mode, AC/DC, Diana Ross, Foals and Fatboy Slim.
Queen and Adam Lambert have announced details of a UK and European tour for 2015, so they'll certainly be on the road - and certainly have the status and catalogue to pull off topping the bill on the Pyramid Stage.

]]>Late last month, drummer Dom Howard joined the social network to confirm that work on their new album had begun, and now the band has their own Instagram page.
The three images posted so far show the band set up and rocking out in the round, the band behind the mixing desk listening to some 'phat bass distortion' and a video of Dom Howard's beefy drums backing a fast-shredding (but sadly muted) riff from Matt Bellamy. We're sure it's only a matter of time until a hardcore fan picks out his movements on the fretboard to play the riff themselves.
Meanwhile, here's another new one from Dom Howard:
In a series of tweets earlier this summer, frontman Bellamy described the new album's central themes as "deep ecology, the empathy gap and World War 3." There may be high levels of irony in this part. He also revealed that his disdain for guitar solos has mellowed on the new album, and mentioned a "sequel" to Origin Of Symmetry track 'Citizen Erased'.
“@ZetaSyndrome: @MattBellamy didn't you say once that guitar solos are uncool?” yes, but I may have to contradict myself on the next album
— Matt Bellamy (@MattBellamy) September 18, 2014
“@SykesErased: @MattBellamy Have you any idea of what themes that will speak the new album?” Deep ecology, the empathy gap and world war 3
— Matt Bellamy (@MattBellamy) September 18, 2014
“@FromDesolation: @MattBellamy will you play Citizen Erased in the next tour?” yes, and it's sequel...
— Matt Bellamy (@MattBellamy) September 18, 2014
The band have previously spoken about how the record will be 'rockier', 'more raw' and much more back to basics than the synth and classical-inspired sounds on their more recent albums.
Last month, frontman Matt Bellamy has taken to Twitter to answer questions from fans about the new band:
@Cylux yes, going well. We hope to have it ready for next summer.
— Matt Bellamy (@MattBellamy) July 21, 2014
@Tanb013 yes. It's gonna get heavy.
— Matt Bellamy (@MattBellamy) July 21, 2014
Not only that, but Bellamy went on to say that he and the band's friend and filmmaker Tom Kirk were going through over 15 years of footage to release online - potentially to tie in with the band's anticipated 20th anniversary:

@KBee1992 we will. YouTube will be inundated soon! Just found a classic tape, labelled 'Dom wets himself in Finland'

The played a number of shows in the US and South America this year, but bassist Chris Wolstenholme told Gigwise that they had no plans to play any European festivals in 2014. Fans await news of the 20th anniversary tour they teased at last year, but the band have been quiet about any potential plans to mark the occasion.
Meanwhile, they're also among the many rumours for Glastonbury 2015.
