Tickets go on sale Friday, 1 June, 2012.

The band announce their winter dates ahead of the release of their new album, 'The National Health', which is released 11 June, 2012. The new tour will be the band's first in three years.

Maximo Park frontman Paul Smith recently spoke to Gigwise about the 'dangerous' cuts to arts funding made by David Cameron's coalition government.

"Creative people are in the minority. You only have to look at the cabinet to see that. the language that comes from the government is very dangerous," said Smith. "You end up feeling marginalised. Obviously, a lot of arts stuff is not seen as important as getting the country back on track economically but if we live in a country without brave pop music and films then we'll be in a society that is poorer and squeezed in the most fundamental way. Without art I think society is poorer and impoverished."

The 'Misery Business' band will play the Corn Exchange in the Scottish capital on August 21 with tickets going on sale at the end of this week.

The US rockers announced the Edinburgh date earlier this year, following the earlier reveal of the Belfast gig on August 19. The band will use both dates as warm up for their Reading & Leeds performances over the August bank holiday weekend.

The band revealed details of a the first track the band had recorded for the new album, 'Daydreaming', earlier this year, with frontwoman Hayley Williams saying: "The guys and I went in to record a song for our 4th album about a week and a half ago, it was all very exciting. At the end of our time in the studio, it was clear to us that this was definitely right! So without delaying any longer, we would like to announce that our 4th album's producer is Justin Meldal-Johnsen. And what the heck, we might as well tell you that the one song we recorded will be called 'Daydreaming'."

Tickets for both the Edinburgh and Belfast gigs are on sale now. For more information, visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
