Those of you who've ever had the pleasure of catching The Vaccines live can vouch that the experience is no less than a pure celebration of all that's great about music and the abandon that comes with it. As you can imagine, their taste in music reflects that.
To mark the release of English Graffiti as part of The Vaccines' Gigwise takeover, English Graffiti's producers Dave Fridmann and Cole M. Greif-Neill whipped up a playlist of their favourite music and and what they were listening to for inspiration during the making of the record - a fitting blend of punk, funk, soulful classics, indie and everything in between. Check it out below.
The Vaccines' inspiration playlist is:
The Samps - 'Peppergood'
Nite Jewel - 'What Did He Say?'
Julia Holter - 'In The Same Room'
Weezer - 'Pink Triangle'
Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - 'Beverly Kills'
Beck - 'Morning'
MGMT - 'The Youth'
Sleater-Kinney - 'Jumpers'
7 Days of Funk - 'Do My Thang'
Mercury Rev - 'Goddess on a Highway'
The Flaming Lips - 'Do You Realize??'
The Vaccines - 'Dream Lover'
