Bon Iver's frontman Justin Vernon has taken to Twitter to express his frustrations with Apple and iTunes, and has revealed he doesn't exactly approve of Spotify either.

The launch of new streaming site Apple Music has a lot of people worrying about the impact on the independent artists who might be disadvantaged by its use, and whether artists will be properly compensated for hosting their music on the site.

Bon Iver appears to agree, after he retweeted an article by FACT, warning against the "black hole" artists could fall into with revenue on Apple.

He considers Apple to have changed from the company that used to support music, tweeting a screen shot of an article about the new streaming site:

He also blames iTunes for him having listened to less music in the last couple of years, blaming its usability and lack of quality:

But really he's not angry, just disappointed with Apple:

Meanwhile, Vernon's also had some problems with Spoitfy, which he's taken to using as an alternative. Creating the hashtag #notonspotify he's listed versions of songs and albums he couldn't find on the streaming site on Twitter.

But on the bright side, he seems to be warming up to Spotify just a little bit.

And he's discovered Portishead, so it isn't all bad.

Justin Vernon has recently announced the return of Bon Iver, with their next gig at their self-curated Eaux Claires festival the start of a new 'cycle' for the band.
