Motörhead were forced to cut their set short in Salt Lake City, Utah last night after frontman Lemmy became too unwell to carry on playing.
Blabbermouth reported that the 69 year old musician explained to the crowd that he couldn’t breathe and was experiencing severe back pain before the band ended the show after only four songs.
The band have released a statement about the event, citing the high altitude for Lemmy’s trouble breathing.
"The people are great, but the air is just too thin. The high altitude makes it difficult for breathing, and that’s what happened with Lemmy tonight in Salt Lake City. He feels very bad to have cut the show short, but being that high up, he had some trouble breathing well. Lemmy appreciates everyone's concern. The fans always rally round!"

Ian Fraser Kilmister (Lemmy) has had a few health scares over the years. In April, Motorhead had to abandon their appearance at the Monsters Of Rock Festival in Brazil after he became ill a few hours before they were going to take to the stage.
In an interview with The Guardian recently, Lemmy noted that he regularly walks with a stick because his "legs are fucked". But he went on to describe himself as ”indestructible”, adding that Motörhead will carry on for "as long as I can walk the few yards from the back to the front of the stage without a stick".
With that in mind, the band still plan to tour throughout the UK in 2016. Check out the dates below and click here for tickets and more information.
