Adele may be rolling in the success of her latest album, 25, but one Britpop star has been looking back at her in anger.
Known for his sharp tongue, Noel Gallagher has added his latest victim on his list of lambasted stars. In a recent interview with Music Feeds, the Oasis star said, “If someone wants to know what I think of Adele, I’ll fucking tell them… I just don’t see what all the fuss is about. I don’t like her music. I think it’s music for fucking grannies.” .
The High Flying Bird stated that he wasn’t trying to cause a stir and was just giving his opinion, “if I get asked a question on anything, I give a straight answer… Not because I have any sort of agenda or because I’m trying to whip up any kind of hysteria.” .
Gallagher wasn’t happy that he was only being asked about the ‘Hello’ singer, “t is interesting that no-one ever talks about my love of U2 and Coldplay, but there you go. Lately, the one I’ve been asked about is Adele.” .
However, it wasn’t just Adele’s rain that the ‘Wonderwall’ songwriter set fire to. In fact, she was far from being alone on the rope, as he extended his attack to the rest of the music industry, saying, “music has nosedived into fucking blandness – a sea of cheese.” .
As expected, the ‘Skyfall’ singer’s fans weren’t too pleased and took to Twitter to express their disapproval of Gallagher’s comments.

Recently, Adele has also come under fire from Kurdish-Turkish singer Ahmet Kaya, for ‘stealing’ her music.
