Ed Sheeran has confirmed a 14-date UK and Ireland arena tour in April and May as part of a three month run of global dates.

Sheeran will play two nights each at Dublin’s 3 Arena, the SSE Hydro in Glagow, Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena, the Morotpoint Arena in Nottingham and Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena before finishing the leg with two nights at the O2 in London.

The tour, which will also take in Europe, Mexico and Central and South America, is in support of his new album ‘÷’, released on March 3 on Asylum/Atlantic Records. The release of his dual comeback singles ‘Shape Of You’ and ‘Castle On The Hill’ have broken records, making him the first artist to simultaneously reach the top two spots in the UK charts with two new tracks.

The tour will mark Sheeran’s first London shows since his record-breaking trio of gigs in front of 240,000 fans at Wembley Stadium in 2015, recorded for the live DVD ‘Jumpers For Goalposts’.

Tickets for the UK and Ireland leg of the tour go on sale at 10am on Thursday 2nd February. Check here for tickets
