At funeral in London...

April 22, 2010 by Jason Gregory

The funeral of former Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren has taken place in London.

Dame Vivienne Westwood, McLaren’s former partner, and their son Joesph Corre were among mourners at St Mary Magdalene's church.

McLaren’s horse-drawn coffin carried the message “too fast to live too young to die”, in reference to the slogan of his King’s Road fashion store before it was renamed Sex.

A green double decker bus, with the destination ‘Nowhere’, was also parked outside the church, according to the Press Association.

As previously reported on Gigwise, Corre had called on mourners to observe “a minute of mayhem” to commemorate his late father.

Adam Ant, Sir Bob Geldof and McLaren’s stepson Ben Westwood also attended the funeral.

McLaren, who also briefly managed the New York Dolls, died in Switzerland earlier this month following a battle with cancer. He was 64
