Rihanna has signed up to appear in a new animated film titled Happy Smekday!
The animated film is scheduled for release in 2014 and will see the 'We Found Love' star voicing a currently unconfirmed character.
Big Bang Theory actor Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon Cooper on the hit US sitcom, is the only other star attached to the project so far. Happy Smekday! will be directed by Tim Johnson (Antz and Over the Hedge) and is an adaptation of Adam Rex’s award-winning book The True Meaning of Smekday.
Rihanna made her big screen debut earlier this year, appearing alongside Liam Neeson and Taylor Kitsch in Battleship.
Meanwhile, Rihanna is currently in London ahead of her headline appearance at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend on Sunday (June 24).
