Despite this week announcing the release of two new Bluir tracks, Alex James has cast doubts on the future of the band, suggesting their Hyde Park show will be their last.

Earlier this year, Damon Albarn suggested similar things - later retracting claims that their 2012 was the band's swansong. Now, James has revealed his uncertainty over the band's future.

"The shows we did in 2009 were the best we've ever done and to be asked to close the Olympics was something we didn't feel we could turn down," says James. "I think it's going to be quite an emotional show, we certainly get quite overwhelmed by playing the songs, which doesn't happen if you're playing them all the time."

"This is something that happens incredibly rarely and who knows if it will ever happen again? Or if this is the end or the beginning of the next chapter."

Whether the band have a future together or not, they will perform two new tracks, 'The Puritan' and 'Under The Westway' live via a video stream on their Twitter account at 6:15pm on 2 July, 2012.
