Queen have teased a world tour at the start of 2013, with Adam Lambert expected to resume his frontman duties with the band once again.

Lambert joined Brian May and Roger Taylor on six dates across Europe this year, including three shows in London. Now, the band's keyboardist Spike Edney has revealed plans for a world tour at the start of next year.

"I’ve used [the keyboard] for six shows now," said Edney in an interview with KORGTV. "Looking forward to taking it around the world next year on a big tour. Fingers crossed!"

If Adam Lambert is to join Queen for a world tour - he's got a busy year ahead of him. The former American Idol star recently revealed plans for his own solo tour, responding to fans online campaign for live shows.

Lambert tweeted: "Have no fear, a Trespassing Tour WILL come. When the time is right. Trust me Glamberts! I won't let you down. :)"
