US punk rockers Green Day have announced that they are to perform their classic album Dookie in full at this weekend's Reading Festival.

Rumours circulated online yesterday when photos of a tour t-shirt from Japan showed a date at this weekend's Reading festival. Billie Joe Armstrong had previously hinted at a performance at the festival when he tweeted: "Hello England! What rhymes with shredding??!!"

The band announced the Reading gig during an interview on Radio One last night (22 August, 2012). They also perform tonight at Shepherds Bush Empire. Tickets for the show are on sale now. For more information visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.

Green Day are currently gearing up for the first of their three scheduled album releases and a special Green Day version of Angry Birds is also due for release.

They also recently released the NSFW video for new single 'Oh Love'. Watch it below.
