Returning solo star Robbie Williams has revealed details of a rare opportunity for fans to meet the star, as he announces a meet and greet at Oxford Street's HMV.
The 'Candy' singer, who is set to topple Labrinth and Emeli Sande from the top of the singles chart this weekend with his solo comeback single will sign copies of his new album Take The Crown at the central London store on 5 November. He will also turn on the Oxford Street Christmas lights on the same day.
Robbie will appear at the store at 7:30pm on 5 November, after turning on the lights. The event is free - but limited to just 300 wristband holders. Wristbands will be available for collection during the day from the store and are limited to one wristband per person. Fans are expected to arrive very early at the store to make sure they are first in line to collect writsbands.
Robbie Williams fans are the shy, retiring type
Robbie is in the running to hit No.1 this week with his new single 'Candy', which he performed on last weekend's X Factor. If he hits the top spot, it will be his first chart topper since his 2009 No.1, 'Bodies'.
Robbie Williams will join Leona Lewis and boyband Lawson earlier in the day to turn on the Christmas lights on Oxford Street.
"Oxford Street is a fantastic place to do your Christmas shopping and it's great to be part of the celebrations." Robbie told Heart FM. "I can’t believe I am turning on the lights! Take the Crown is released on the same day and I'm looking forward to performing for the amazing crowds."
Heart FM presenters Emma Bunton and Jamie Theakston will host the show on 5 November, 2012 and the event takes place outside House Of Fraser on Oxford Street.
