Sinead O'Conner has revealed just how hedonistic Noel Gallagher was at the height of Brit Pop, saying that he proposed to her while under the influence.
The singer, who is an ordained priest, also said she wants Noel and his brother Liam to find a way to get on.
Speaking to The Sun she said, "Noel once asked me to marry him, just before he married Meg Matthews.
"He won't remember as he was off his face at a festival in Amsterdam."
O'Conner evidently turned the rocker down, and Gallagher married Matthews in Las Vegas in 1997.
The pair had a daughter in 2000, but divorced in 2001.Gallagher is now married to Sara MacDonald with whom he has two children.
At the moment Sinead seems more concerned with making sure the Gallagher brothers reconcile.
When Uncut magazine told her that Liam thinks she's cool, she replied: "I'm so glad to hear from Liam, because I, as a mammy, am not happy that he and his brother aren't getting along well - and their poor mammy must be very upset.
"Tell Liam I love him and his brother and I'd like them to get on with each other.
"Do it for mammy's sake, yer feckers!"

Recently fans of the former Oasis songwriter have been treated to several unreleased recordings from Gallagher after they were uploaded to YouTube.
Yesterday (January 30) it was reported that Gallagher had been diagnosed with tinnitus after going for a brain scan.
