Robbie Williams has revealed that his friendship with legendary rock band, Oasis fizzled out because he wasn't 'mod' enough to hang around with them.
The former Take That singer is a huge fan of Oasis and admitted to spending time with the Gallagher brothers in the 90s, but was cast aside as he didn't follow the mod fashion style.
Williams told The Sun: "I happened to know them and knock about with them for a little while. I don't think I was their cup of tea.
"At the time I think the exact words were, 'I'm not mod', so I was sort of mates with them for a bit, then I didn't gel with them, so we stopped hanging out, simple as that."
Even though the friendship was short-lived, Williams admitted that there were no hard feelings and he has nothing but huge respect for the band - despite a feud which once saw Noel Gallagher label Williams as the "fat dancer from Take That".

At the height of the feud, Robbie even invited Liam Gallagher to a prize fight for £100,000 at the BRIT Awards 2000.
Williams added: "Liam's voice was the voice of a generation and Noel seemed to be writing the songs of a generation. They were our Beatles for around 18 months."
