Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan claims that the band's new album contains a heavy sound that makes the record sound 'electrocuted'.
Speaking to MTV confirming the band are recording their fifth studio album, a follow up to Velociraptor! Meighan said: "It's like The Prodigy's dirty remix thing. It's cool and it's got really heavy drums - it sounds electorcuted."
Meighan moved to dismiss any ill feeling towards departed guitarist Jay Melher, who left to join Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye. He said: "There's no malice, he's gone to a great rock band - Beady Eye are amazing and I wish him all the best."
The frontman was also forthcoming with his opinions on Coldplay's recent plaudit for Radio 2's Favourite Album of All Time award for A Rush Of Blood To The Head. "They would say that's ridiculous and even I would say that, I'm not gonna start wars with Coldplay, I can't be bothered. I've met Chris Martin and he's cool, but they know and I know the poll is ridiculous."
