There's plenty of reality TV talent shows to choose from these days, but the BBC's The Voice seems the first choice for 90s pop stars auditioning for another shot at stardom.
One such star is Cleo Higgins, formerly of girl group Cleopatra, and Cleo has now revealed that she chose The Voice for fear of being beaten by a dancing animal or magician on Britain's Got Talent.
Speaking to the Mirror, Cleo said: "With The Voice it's about the voice, with BGT it's a variety show and you could lose to a dog or a magician."
The singer also revealed that she was so nervous about auditioning in front of coaches Jessie J, Will.i.am, Tom Jones and Danny O'Donoghue that she missed the auditions in her hometown but managed to catch them in Birmingham.
"That's where I was born," she said. "It's a sign."
She also said that the group had been approached about potentially appearing on ITV's The Big Reunion, but by the time the show's bosses approached them it was too late.
"They approached one of my sisters, she told me about it, but by the time it was happening I was already in The Voice."

It was recently reported that R&B-pop group Big Brovaz were in talks to possibly appear in the second series of The Big Reunion after the first season proved a hit with viewers.
Original member J-Rock said: "We're in ITV at the moment discussing a Big Reunion... who knows?"
