Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris has spoken of how her ‘incredible’ dad always strived to protect his children from the limelight.

The pop idol’s daughter told of how her father ensured the children got their education, and revealed how close they felt to their dad.

“He wanted the best for us,” the Mirror quotes Paris as saying. “He made sure we stuck to school. He was always looking out for us.

“He was protective. The masks we wore were his idea. He didn’t want anyone to see what we looked like. That way we could have what he didn’t... a normal childhood.

“We loved him to death. He had a good energy where you just didn’t want to leave. And yes, he did teach me to do the moonwalk.”

Paris, who is now 15, also apparently wants to get closer with her biological mother Debbie Rowe, though her older brother Prince, 16, reportedly wants to remain ‘at arm’s length’.

The Mirror reports that a friend said Paris wanted to learn more about Debbie’s relationship with her late father.

The friends added: “Paris is very inquisitive and found Debbie easy to bond with.”
