The new Arcade Fire album has been produced by LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy, and he has revealed that his work on the album is finished.
The band's fourth album is set for release on 29th October this year, the band recently tweeted this news to their fans but Murphey was apparently completely unaware.
In an interview with Billboard magazine, the producer commented: "When you work on a record you don’t know any of the things around it. So when it comes out I’ll just be like, 'The Arcade Fire record’s out — oh, right!'"
Murphy claims it has been "the food I eat and the air I breathe", but states that he is "officially done" with the album.

Murphy also discusses the experience of working with the Canadian collective, which he felt was 'way better' than he expected.
He explains that "Producing is always really hard" and wasn't sure what to anticipate, due the large number of band members. He asked himself "do they need another dude there with his opinions?" Luckily he claims the environment was harmonious and "everyone was amazingly respectful of one another."
