An expanded DVD and Blu-Ray of the legendary 1992 Freddie Mercury tribute concert is to be released next month.

'The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert: The Definitive Edition' will be released on 3 September, 2013 - featuring the one-off gig at Wembley Stadium in which a selection of huge names including Metallica, Elton John and David Bowie filled in for Freddie by joining Queen to run through some of the band's classic tracks to raise money for AIDS awareness.

The new DVD and Blu-Ray will feature previously unreleased footage of full opening performances from Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, and Def Leppard with the final disc containing an hour-long documentary plus rehearsal footage and photos. All proceeds will go to the Mercury Phoenix Trust, which supports AIDS charities all over the world.
