The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has named the band's 2012 single 'Runaways' as the one track by the band he wishes had been a bigger success.
The track was released in July last year, and reached No.18 in the UK and No.78 in America. Now, as the band prepare to release their anniversary hits collection, Direct Hits, Flowers has spoken about the songs on the album and his particular passion for the lead single from their Battle Born album.
"When we play it, it’s just huge," Flowers says in a new interview with Radio.com. "But it’s fine. You don’t have to have a smash single for a song to touch people."

Direct Hits features the band's biggest single releases, but Flowers also admits that the band were torn when picking the tracklist, and wanted to include personal favourites from their five studio albums.
"Most of the songs are singles. There’s a song called ‘The Way it Was’ that was never a single that maybe should’ve been a single," he says. "I wonder if ‘This River is Wild’ should be on there... you’re never going to be completely happy."
The band are due to premiere the video for new single, 'Shot At The Night' today (27 September, 2013). Watch the trailer for the 'Shot At The Night' video below
The band will release their best-of album on 11 November, and it will include new, M83-produced single 'Shot At The Night' and unheard track, 'Just Another Girl', produced by Stuart Price.
