England's Metro newspaper was forced to print an unfortunate correction yesterday, after falsely claiming that Lou Reed collaborated with Lulu - confusing her with his Metallica collaboration of the same name.
The paper showed some confusion over Reed's 2011 concept album with Metallica, Lulu. They correctly reported the project with the metal heroes, but mistakenly read the album title to be a report of Reed's work with the 1960s 'Shout' star.
After eagle-eyed readers pointed out that this was not in fact the case, commuter's favourite Metro was forced into the following correction: "Yesterday's Lou Reed obituary should have referred to his collaboration with Metallica on the album Lulu, rather than collaborations with Metallica and Lulu."

This isn't the first blunder to follow in the wake of the late, great Lou Reed's death, after a journalist confused the Velvet Underground icon was confused by a journalist with 'Mambo No.5' singer Lou Bega - causing him to be flooded with messages of sympathy and condolence by fans who confused the two.
Bega, who enjoyed brief UK success in 1999 with his No.1 hit 'Mambo No.5' but went on to bafflingly record and release five studio albums, took to his official Facebook page to speak of his admiration of the 'genius' Reed - where he also gave insight into a mix-up with the Velvet Underground icon.
