Luke Pritchard, frontman of The Kooks, has learned the perils of drinking and tweeting, after sharing his thoughts on X Factor boyband One Direction while under the influence.
Admitting he was 'so drunk' while posting the tweets, Pritchard has since deleted the messages posted on 25 November, after coming under criticism from avid 1D fans online. Pritchard intitially took offence to an article written following the recent 'One Direction day' and an album release party held online.
Pritchard wrote online: "5 Little Things We Learned From One Direction's iHeartRadio Album Release Party... stop this malfunction. world realign please. artists dying."
When an angry fan hit back at Pritchard, claiming she was a fan of both The Kooks and One Direction, he responded telling her that he would rather lose Twitter followers than have his fans support the boyband.
"Do not like what I do. i'd rather anyone who likes one direction never follow me. you literally have no idea who upset i am."

When quizzed by another fan about his exact disagreement with One Direction, he responded saying: "Everything. how can you be a fan of something that has no life. i honestly feel so depressed that you are into kooks."
He later revealed that alcohol had played a large part in his comments, adding: "hahah i'm so drunk. fuck it. I'm looking at what is there, seriously!! is that what we have. please buy real music... rant in emin over."
