Trent Reznor has unveiled his 24-track soundtrack with British composer Atticus Ross for 'Gone Girl'. You can stream the whole thing here.
The Nine Inch Nails frontman was asked by the film's director David Fincher to “think about the really terrible music you hear in massage parlors. The way that it artificially tries to make you feel like everything’s OK. And then imagine that sound starting to curdle and unravel.”
The soundtrack marks the third collaboration between Reznor and director Fincher, who have previously worked together on 2010’s The Social Network and 2011’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Both songs were nominated for awards, with the former winning an Oscar for Best Original Score, and the latter Best Original Score at the Golden Globes.
The film thriller tells the disturbing story of a husband (Ben Affleck) who is at a loss to explain the sudden disappearance of his wife (Rosamund Pike).
The full soundtrack will be on sale from the 30 September with the film set for release on the 3 October.
