Sam Bailey has been dropped by Simon Cowell's Syco label - just 14 months after the unlikely star was crowned victorious on X Factor.
The 2013 winner, who beat Nicholas McDonald and Luke Friend (no, us neither) topped the charts to claim the Christmas No.1 spot with her cover of Demi Lovato's 'Skyscraper'. Her album, The Power Of Love, then shifted 72,644 copies in its first week - making it the second fastest-selling female solo album of 2014 behind Taylor Swift's Earth-shifting 1989.
Now, however, it seems that the flame may be out between the former prison guard and high-waisted Cowell, with her contract not being renewed. She confirmed the news on Twitter:
Hi guys yes it's true I have parted ways with syco!! Don't worry tho, I'm happy xx lots of exciting things happening xx
