Rhys Darby Confirms Flight Of The Conchords Movie Plans
Work set to commence in 2012...
Rhys Darby has said that he has high hopes of a potential Flight of the Conchords movie being made in 2012.
The comedian played the hapless band's manager Murray in the HBO show, which ran for two successful seasons between 2007 and 2009.
He told New Zealand's George FM radio station: "I can say in all faith that we have connected, recently we've talked, and the boys do want to make one so it's just a matter of finding time and I think next year pen will hit paper."
Bret McKenzie had recently hinted that a film version was in the pipeline, but this was fervently denied by HBO, who said: "There are no plans for a Flight of the Conchords movie."
McKenzie is to star in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which saw its first trailer released earlier today.
