More about:

Gallagher-tested, Gallagher-approved, This Feeling have been a mainstay in promoting the latest indie bands from around the UK for years. They've tipped, among many others, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Blossoms, helping them reach as many people as possible with their career-firing tours.

In February, they lended us their expertise in the newest of the new in indie, publishing their annual 'Big In' list with us. Now, here, you'll find one of those bands spotlighted every week. Get to know them a bit better and have a listen to their latest tune. This week, it's Gigwise faves Bull:

Name: Bull
Location: York

Describe yourselves in 5 words...

The best band ever ever

Who are your favourite This Feeling bands chosen for Big In this year?

I like Venus Girls

Favourite album from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and recent?

Ok 60s - Bringing it all back home - Bob Dylan
70s - it’s all shite haha naa probably Station to Station David Bowie
80s - Pixies - Doolittle
90s - Pavement - Brighten The Corners
00s - Yuck - Yuck (sorry it's the early 10s)
Recent - Canshaker Pi - Okay Decay

What inspired you to start a band?

Me personally, my family are musicians so definitely them, always playing music. My parents were in a band together, so I knew I was always going to follow in their footsteps and be in a band. More collectively, I think Yuck’s first album Yuck is a decent answer.

What's your favourite part of performing live?

When we all listen to each other occasionally and start playing as one (hippy shit).

Tell us about your latest release.

Our latest single was called Eugene, it was recorded in Amsterdam and features lots of keyboards and very idiosyncratic, reactionary arrangement and production. Recorded by Remko Schouten at IJland studio, the 6th Pavement and their sound engineer for the best part of their career.

What do you have coming up?

Our album came out on the 26th of March on EMI records in conjunction with Young Thugs records in York (all thanks to them). We will be celebrating with live footage of us performing the album in full on EMI's roof. We are The English Beatles. We hope it will be well received and encourage YOU to purchase a copy from your local record store.
