Gallagher-tested, Gallagher-approved, This Feeling have been a mainstay in promoting the latest indie bands from around the UK for years. They've tipped, among many others, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Blossoms, helping them reach as many people as possible with their career-firing tours.

In February, they lended us their expertise in the newest of the new in indie, publishing their annual 'Big In' list with us. Now, here, you'll find one of those bands spotlighted every week. Get to know them a bit better and have a listen to their latest tune. This week, it's The Royston Club!

Name: The Royston Club

'60s - Abbey Road - The Beatles.
'70's - Loaded - The Velvet Underground,
'80's - The Queen - Dead by The Smiths,
'90's - Ok Computer - Radiohead,
'00's - Room On Fire - The Strokes
'10s - Teens Of Denial - Car Seat Headrest

What inspired you to start a band?

Three of us all went to Secondary school together and just started jamming because we all loved playing indie music and really liked the idea of being able to work on our own stuff so it kind of just went from there and once we played live we were hooked

What's your favourite part of performing live?

I think it's probably a pretty generic answer but having people in the audience know the words to your songs and sing them back to you is amazing to us and there's no better feeling than finishing a set knowing that everyone was into it

Tell us about your latest release.

On March 19th we released our most recent single 'Coasting' on Run On Records. It's a song that was recorded in October of 2020 at Parr Street Studios which was written by our guitarist about a point in his life where he felt he wasn't really going anywhere and was just 'Coasting' (hence the name). We were really happy we released it when we did because we feel with all the recent lockdowns it's a song that's become even more understandable to listeners than it ever would have been before.

What do you have coming up?

We have loads of tunes already recorded and ready to go so while we don't have another date for any more songs to come out at the moment, there will still be lots more to come before the end of the year along with our first UK tour in August!
