Maximo Park return this week with their fifth album, Too Much Information, and the record has been hailed as one of the band's most accomplished records to date. Our reviewer even compared the album to a fine wine.

"Their dark and romanticised lyrics infused with a nerdy comic-book style persona have always given them a distinct edge," wrote Amy Gravelle, amid praise for the band's new album. "But long gone are the days of hasty guitar riffs and Kaiser Chief style 'Oooohh's', this time we’re greeted with moody synths and poignant lyrical density."

The album is set to hit the UK Top Ten this weekend, and the band have recorded a special acoustic performance of the lead single from the album, 'Brain Cells', which was filmed in Newcastle's Lit & Phil's Library. Check it out below.
