In little over two years under the mainstream spotlight, Jake Bugg has risen from a surly indie newcomer to one of the biggest solo male stars in the UK, scoring two huge hits albums and securing his status as one of the must-see performers on the festival scene.

On 12 May, 2014, Bugg releases his new EP, Messed Up Kids, which features a collection of live and acoustic tracks and includes brand new track 'A Change In The Air', which he today premieres on Gigwise. Listen below.

A rare track from the Nottingham star, 'A Change In The Air' was previously only availabe as a bonus track on the Japanese release of his 2013 album, Shangri La. 'A Change In The Air' is unmistakeably Bugg, with his distinct vocals riding a swift, 60s-influenced melody alongside raw, acoustic guitars.

It's a brilliant and beautiful track, and one that deserves as much international attention as his bigger hits, such as 'Lightning Bolt' and 'What Doesn't Kill You'.

All the tracks on the new EP were recorded in Malibu with iconic producer Rick Rubin. Also featured on the Messed Up Kids EP are new, live versions of 'Strange Creatures' and 'The Odds', as well as the title track, taken from his chart topping album, Shangri La.

Jake Bugg's Messed Up Kids EP is released Monday, 12 May 2014.
