Various Venues, Brighton
24-27 September
Since it began in 2004 Brighton Live has become one of the premier end of year events on the music calendar. Doing for Brighton what event’s like the Miami Winter Music Conference and London Calling do for their prospective namesakes, over a week long period Brighton Live puts Brighton bands firmly in the spotlight.
With gigs taking place in traditional and untraditional venues, from pubs to Churches, Brighton Live provides an informal way to catch some of the best new music around.
Brighton Live also features a number of seminars held through the event which are designed to help new bands with any questions they may have about starting out in the music industry. One of the standout workshops is, ‘Speed-Schmoozing,’ where – like speed dating - musicians will be able to spend ten minutes with different industrial professionals to pick their brains about the industry.
If you thought summer was over, we suggest you spend its very last days down on the seafront in Brighton listening to the band’s that will surely be sound tracking your life by this time next year.
