More about:

Cartoon alter ego to Damon Albarn, Jamie Hewlett and co. Gorillaz have announced a new feature documentary. Gorillaz: Reject False Icons can be seen in cinemas everywhere for one night only on 16 December.

The new music film will document Gorillaz in the studio with their long-time producers The Twilite Tone of D /\ P, Remi Kabaka and Alex Turner collaborator James Ford.

It will also reportedly feature a long roll call of big time collaborators including Vince Staples, Pusha T, Little Simz, Graham Coxon and Jehnny Beth.

Director Denholm Hewlett followed the band for three whole years, during the making of both Humanz and The Now Now, as well as on a big boy world tour.

For a band that began as a private side-project for Albarn and Hewlett, this new film is likely to be an unprecedented look at one of modern times' most elusive bands.

Gorillaz: Reject False Icons will screen worldwide in cinemas on 16 December. Ticket will go on sale 27 November here.
