Steven Tyler’s new solo country single ‘Love Is Your Name’ is expected to debut during the season finale of American Idol on May 13.
During last night’s episode of the show, the final five contestants stopped by the Big Machine Records headquarters in Nashville with season 14 advisor Scott Borchetta, Music Times reports. Former American Idol judge Steven Tyler also joined them, as he was there recording his debut solo country album.
During his appearance on the show, Tyler said that he and 18-year-old contestant Jax would be performing his new track together during the upcoming finale.

Earlier this month, Tyler confirmed that he was working on a country album, making the announcement during a surprise visit to the Grand Ole Opry.
He had previously told Rolling Stone Country last year: "I grew up in the woods of New Hampshire…. I have more country in me than people think."
Tyler also discussed his love of country music during a Q&A with Twitter last year, saying: "I'm going down to Nashville in January, February, March, April to write and see what we get. Doing an album is like panning for gold. You get so much sand and dirt until you find a little nugget - and you work on the nugget."
"I grew up with the Everly Brothers and there's a piece of me that just loves country so much," he continued. "I'm not sure what kind of country that is, but it's got the fifth harmony. Anyone who knows the Everly Brothers - it's those kinds of melodies that are just so good."
