The future of seeing Blink 182 in their original line-up is looking very bleak, as Mark Hoppus has said that the band are in the midst of a "friendly divorce" with Tom DeLonge.
Earlier this year, the band returned to the stage with Alkalkine Trio's Matt Skiba filling in for DeLonge. He is reported to be in talks to become a permanent member. Now during a recent interview with Das Process, Hoppus has given Blink 182 fans an update.
"We are right now going through what so far has been a friendly divorce with our former guitarist," he said. "Hopefully things clear up and it doesn’t get all managery and lawyery and all that and we can move forward".
The three-piece have had an uncertain future ever since January when they claimed Tom Delonge had cancelled their studio sessions. DeLonge, however, denied that he had left the band.

Yet Hoppus is adamant that this is a friendly parting between him and Tom, "Tom was my best friend for years and years and the thing is if you think about the people that you were friends with at the end of high school and the beginning of college. How many of those people are you still friends with?"
"We’ve been in the same van and bus and aeroplane and backstage room and stage for twenty something years."
So will there be a new Blink album with Skiba soon? Only time will tell.
