More about: Years & Years
What a year it's been for Gigwise favourites Years & Years. We've loved them since 2013, but since then they've been crowned as BBC's Sound Of 2015 and become exactly that. Now, an arena tour beckons. Their inspiration? The Spice Girls.

Pumped on coffee and exciting by lunchtime weekday boozing at the Q Awards, we attempted to interview a very giddy Years & Years - putting to them to huge scale of their massive upcoming arena tour. It culminates in a show at Wembley Arena.
"Like the Spice Girls, except not the same Wembley!", jokees frontman Olly Alexander. "Basically we're the new Spice Girls."
Asking them how they plan to conquer arenas off the back of just one debut album, they reveal schemes involving hiring peope to attend, using lasers, doves, Spinal Tap stunts, adding: "Hopefully we'll get Justin Bieber to support us, "
"There will be some sort of contraption, I'm making this up now - a revolving stage?" says Alexander.
And then we left them to do their afternoon boozing - reminding them that they had to compete with lads like Noel Gallagher and The Libertines in attendance.
"Are you saying we're not lads? How dare you?," glares Alexander, joking, "I could never be a lad. We shan't!"
To find out Spice Girl is which is which (and why our mircophone is crap), watch the video above.
