Hardcore Bill Murray fans will be delighted to know that the Caddyshack star will be releasing his very own Christmas single this December - with a little help from Phoenix, Jason Schwartzman, Paul Shaffer and New York Dolls' David Johansen.

The single will also have a purely instrumental B-side, but who wants to listen to that when you can listen to Bill Murray's angelic voice?

The single ‘Alone on Christmas Day’ will be released on 7-inch vinyl on the 4 December = the same date that Sofia Coppola’s, A Very Murray Christmas airs on Netflix. Starring alongside the Saturday Night Live actor will be George Clooney, Miley Cyrus, Chris Rock and Amy Poehler.
