A tinsel-strewn Christmas tree, chestnuts roasting on an open fire and Santa’s sleigh bells ringing. This is what comes to mind when you think about Christmas. So how about a black metal cover of a Mariah Carey festive favourite? Nope, didn’t think so.
At this time of year, the airways are rife with seasonal tunes – but none quite like this. Death metal group Woods of Trees have tasked themselves with covering with ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ in a particularly devil-horns-in-the-air fashion. The guttural take on a winter-warming classic is truly a sight to behold as a satanic screamer frolics around a Christmas fair, soaking up the festive spirit.
