Michelle Obama releases rap video (yes, really)

Obama and Pharaoh tell the kids truth, bruh

Can the First Lady of the United States really rap? Apparently, yes she can. To quote Jasper from The Simpsons and his fellow students Drake and Future, "What a time to be alive."

You heard it right: FLOTUS Michelle Obama has just rapped. And it seems that the First Lady is serious about education and getting kids to commit to college.

Obama recently joined forces with CollegeHumor and Saturday Night Live star and rapper Jay Pharoah, and has now dropped a fire track, full of knowledge for the world. For all you people who love The Lonely Island, rejoice. For everyone else, try to keep an open mind, and go along with the ride.

As part of The First Lady's Reach Higher and new Better Make Room initiatives, the song is intended to convince teenagers and young adults to keep on with their education after leaving high school.

The video, released on CollegeHumor's YouTube page, is ridiculously catchy, and actually not half decent. And the fact that Obama's actually holding her own with Pharaoh barswise is truly commendable. We here at Gigwise salute you, Michelle. Ever thought about dropping an album our way?

Listen to the ridiculously great track below
