Zayn Malik has disputed claims that his new album cover plagiarises Lil Wayne's, saying, "I'm not tryna be no rapper."
The former One Direction star, whose debut solo album, Mind Of Mine, is due for release next month, revealed the artwork for the album on Jimmy Kimmel earlier this week.
It features Malik as a young child with tattoos photoshopped onto his hands and arms, and promptly drew comparisons to the artwork for Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III album.
Responding to the criticisms, Malik wrote on Twitter, "I'm not tryna be no rapper, my album is me a child [sic] .. My ideas have been with me a long time, adding, "Use your brain, appreciate art don't discriminate what you don't understand."
