A former radio DJ accused of groping Taylor Swift has added slander to his lawsuit against the singer.
David Mueller of KYGO radio was fired from his job back in 2013, after being accused of grabbing Swift's bottom during a photo session backstage in Denver. He subsequently filed a lawsuit against the singer, claiming that the accusations were false and that it was one of his superiors who committed the alleged assault.
In response, Swift filed a counterclaim, which stated, "Ms Swift knows exactly who committed the assault, it was Mueller." As The Guardian reports, Swift's attorneys said that the singer was "surprised, upset, offended and alarmed" by the incident, claiming that he had lifted up her skirt.
Now, in an amended complaint filed last week (25 February), Mueller has added slander to his list of complaints, claiming that her statements have caused harm to his "reputation, profession and standing in the community."
Swift has said that any money she might receive if her countersuit is successful will be donated to charities "dedicated to protectng women from similar acts of sexual assault and personal disregard."
The singer recently donated $250,000 to help Kesha pay her legal bills, after the singer lost an injuction asking to be released from the label of Dr. Luke, the man she claims raped her.
