PJ Harvey has announced a UK headline show as part of her Hope Six Demolition Project tour, returning to the Eden Sessions.
The Let England Shake star, who previously played at the Eden Sessions in 2003, is the only artist to have won the Mercury Prize twice.
Harvey is due to release her ninth studio album, The Hope Six Demolition Project in April. The album was recorded over one month whilst Harvey stayed in London’s Somerset House. During the process, audiences were given the opportunity to see Harvey working with her band and producers in the purpose built studio.
Harvey is also an accomplished sculptor, poet, actor and composer. The singer/songwriter was also awarded an MBE in 2013 for her services to music.
Eden’s marketing director, Rita Broe, said: “PJ Harvey is one of the most vibrant, diverse artists ever to hail from these shores and we’re very excited to be welcoming her back to Eden, 13 years after she played her first magical show here… She is known for her continued innovation and it’s going to be a real treat to see her perform material from her new album in our spectacular environment.”
In other news, PJ Harvey will be playing at this year’s Glastonbury for the first time in over a decade.
PJ Harvey will play at Cornwall's Eden Project on 27 June. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday 8 March at 4pm. For more information and ticket sales, visit here.
