A tribute concert to David Bowie took place in New York last night, featuring performances from the likes of Debbie Harry, The Flaming Lips and Cyndi Lauper. Watch footage from the show below.
Michael Stipe, J Mascis, Cat Power and Sean Ono Lennon also appeared at the Carnegie Hall - for an event that was, in fact, scheduled some time before Bowie's death - to perform a handful of classic covers.
One band who weren't in attendance were The Roots, who pulled out last minute due to 'bitchassness' of other artists on the bill.
Watch a handful of clips from the show - which was the first of two tribute concerts - below. The second takes place at Radio City Music Hall on 1 April.

Cyndi Lauper and Tony Visconti performing 'Suffragette City'
