The speculation surrounding Kanye West’s full release of his seventh album, The Life Of Pablo, being an April Fools joke, has been silenced.
Six weeks after its original release on TIDAL, fans who purchased the album now have their own copy, while Spotify and Apple Music users can now stream it too. Fans can now also purchase the album on West’s website.
Kanye recently described the album as “living breathing changing creative expressions.” The New York Times also reported that the rapper will “release new updates, new versions and new iterations of the album” so Yeeezus has kept his word on that.
West has changed some songs on the album already. The rapper has added lyrics to Chance The Rapper’s verse and backing vocals to ‘FML’. The release on all platforms should also help settle some confusion with regards to the amount that the album has actually been viewed. It is believed that the album has been streamed 250 million times, but there is no clarity on whether that is just all singles, or the whole album.
The rapper previously said that his new album would ‘never never be on Apple.’
My album will never never never be on Apple. And it will never be for sale... You can only get it on Tidal.
