Having gone head-to-head with Apple over the fact that their streaming service, Apple Music, does not pay artists enough, Taylor Swift has now appeared in an advert for the service. But the advert truly is different to anything Apple Music has done before.
The video features Swift taking to a treadmill to run, but just before she starts she chooses, none other than Drake. She begins to run and starts rapping to Drake’s hit, ‘Jumpman’. As she is running things take a turn for the worse as she falls over and slides off the treadmill, but continues to rap.
Of course it is all staged, and with it being uploaded at 9am EST today (1 April) the video appears to purposely be a joke. But what is interesting is that the video appears to be made for complete commercial purposes. Which considering the ‘Bad Blood’ singer made such a strong stance against the company not so long ago is quite interesting.
The singer posted the video to all of her social media sites, and on Twitter posted it saying, “Based on true events.”
Based on true events. #TAYLORvsTREADMILL @applemusic @Drake @1Futurehttps://t.co/ryUY3Yz7Prhttps://t.co/1eIHjoVIFU
