Yesterday, with the help of a snazzy jacket, Lana Del Rey sparked rumours that she was set to support Guns N’ Roses on tour later this year. Sadly, it looks like those rumours aren’t true.
The singer appeared in several photos over the past few days - including one posted to her own Facebook yesterday - which showed her wearing a black satin jacket emblazoned with ‘LANA DEL REY / GUNS N’ ROSES / 2016 TOUR.’ You might have thought there couldn’t really get a stronger hint than that.
Except it wasn’t a hint at all. TMZ reports that the jacket was simply one of several personalised gifts made by Axl Rose for his friends and family. “Sources close to the unexpected pair tell us they’ve been tight for years,” says the publication.
It’s not all that unexpected though, given that Del Rey has an old song called ‘Axl Rose Husband’, and a newer one called ‘Guns And Roses’.
Meanwhile, AC/DC recently confirmed that Axl Rose will be joining them on tour as frontman, replacing Brian Johnson after he was urged to “stop touring immediately” or risk total hearing loss.
