Whilst you may have assumed that Taylor Swift, Beyonce or Adele is the most followed person on Twitter, it’s actually Katy Perry - and she’s just reached 90 million followers.

As Unilad points out, that means she now has more followers than Egypt has residents. The singer is the first Twitter user to reach 90 million followers, beating out not only the aforementioned pop behemoths, but also Barack Obama and Justin Bieber.
