Blues and Soul living legend Van Morrison has released catchy new tune 'Too Late', with accompanying live video, along with the date for his 36th album release and his subsequent seven-date UK tour. Not bad for a man about to celebrate his 71st birthday.

This new track by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-er is 2 minutes 54 seconds of the peerless vocal smoothness and lively sax solos Sir Van is synonymous with. It's an up-tempo slice of bluesy brilliance. But don't just take our word for it, check out the video, which shows the musical icon performing the single at an intimate performance held at Nell's Jazz and Blues club in London, below.

And if you like what you're seeing, there's more Van Morrison magic heading your way in the form of the six-time Grammy-winner's 36th studio album Keep Me Singing set for release on 30 September. The LP is set to offer-up 12 new original tracks along with a cover of the classic 'Share Your Love With Me' written by Alfred Baggs and Don Robey.

And if that's still not quite enough, you can satisfy your continued cravings with tickets to one of his seven scheduled live dates across the UK in October and November, a tour that kicks off at Bluesfest 2016 at The O2 in London before taking in Liverpool, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Nottingham and Manchester.

Music makes me happy. I've seen the industry from all sides, from street teaming to music reviewing and industry conferences, and there's no business quite like it. Remember to support your local small venue - it's where your favourite band (or one just like them) started out!
