Iggy Pop made his debut appearance on Austin City Limits on Saturday (29 October). You can watch it in full on Gigwise below.

Iggy Pop
, Josh Homme, and Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders are the most well known members in the fantastic new band that brought us one of the albums of the year, Post Pop Despression and played the live event of the year at the Royal Albert Hall.

The band which also features Matt Sweeney of Swan, and QOTSA members Dean Ferita and Troy Van Leeuwen.  What a force they are to be reckoned with.

They all dressed up as they did on their UK tour for the occasion with the backing band wearing matching blood red suits, and Iggy opting to stand out in a black blazer and, of course, no t-shirt as he led the band the only way he knows how - with a swaggerish pressence.

The played predominantly album Post Pop Despression , of which reviewer Andrew Trendell opined: "This is far from QOTSA covering or featuring Iggy. What we've got instead is an entirely new beast, and a vessel for a rock icon to go through one more, perfect reinvention."

They also played 'Lust For Life' and 'The Idiot' to embrace a couple of the classics.
