The money will all go to Children in Need

A devout Take That fan has succesfully bid 1.1 million pounds in a Children In Need auction for a private Take That gig.

The auction all took place on Chris Evans' breakfast show on Radio 2, the winner, Elaine Fairfax, got the gig after another bidder doubled her earlier offer of £500,000.

Gary Barlow of Take That, simply said, "Oh my god", when he was told the news by Chris Evans live on his radio show.

Fairfax, who is a businesswoman that made her money with her own pet insurance firm, will now be privvy to a private 45 minute set from the band.

Barlow told Fairfax: "We'll come and sing to you, have a drink with you, have selfies, see your friends, meet your mum and dad". He continued: "Whatever you want us to do, we'll do it.

"Try and get rid of us. You'll be pushing us out the door by the end of it".

The very admirable donation will all go to Children In Need, which will have its annual telethon today (Friday 18 November).

Barlow informed both Fairfax and Evans that, "The last time we did something like this was in 1991 for Jackie magazine".

Chris Evans orchestrated the whole auction after emailing Barlow only a couple of days ago.

Barlow, who has organised several charitible events told listeners: "This is a charity we all love".

This won't be the first time that Gary Barlow has done something special for a fan, as earlier this year, he surprised one of the band's fans, by turning up to her 40th birthday unannounced.

More recently, Take That joined former bandmate, Robbie Williams on stage at his intimate gig in London's Troxy.

Unfortunately, it looks as though both Take That, and William's tour will clash, so any hope of a reunion in 2016, seems to be quashed.
