More about: Kanye West
Yesterday, on 13 December 2016, Kanye West paid a visit to Trump Towers. Somebody took a picture of him and the President-elect. The meteoric reaction across social media to this somewhat unexpected, slightly unsurprising tryst between two of America’s most recognisable figures has been perhaps as much an unfortunately candid indicator of our times as the presidential election campaign itself.
“The opinion that art should have nothing to do with politics is itself a political attitude”, George Orwell once famously quipped. Here we collate for you the “political attitudes” people have published to the world concerning this most provocative of meetings between two modern American characters.

What's wild is that a Kanye West presidency makes as much sense today as a Donald Trump presidency did 8 years ago.

Which is none at all. https://t.co/Q86JnVVjgW
Someone bricking it about Trump’s unorthodox way of using his time as leader.
Donald Trump has time to meet Kanye West for a photo at Trump Tower, but doesn't have time for intelligence briefings? Good luck, America!

God somehow adapted The Rolling Stone headline to appear as though they wrote it as so:
More does need to be done to raise awareness of the realities on the ground. The UN suggests nearly half a million people have been killed in this conflict, becoming one of the biggest humanitrian disasters of the century.
Media covers Kanye West meeting with Donald Trump at Trump Towers, but not giving a shit about the genocide in #Aleppo. SICK WORLD.

And on the other end of the spectrum…… Perhaps it’s just these “left wingers” don’t trust a man who’s campaigned for segregation and the exile of Muslims from America.
I see a lot of white left wingers bashing Kanye West for meeting Donald Trump. These racists can't deal with a free black man.

The ludicrious nature of politics in the 21st Century and the anxiety that more unqualified personalities could take office is a very real one.

TRUMP: What position did you have in mind?
KANYE WEST: Kanye West
The possibility of alienating his friends through allying with Trump is something West surely knows he'll have to deal with now.
